The New Mexico football team stayed in Cheyenne Friday night and needed a police escort and a snow plow to get to Laramie Saturday morning for its noon kickoff with the University of Wyoming.
The team arrived just prior to 10 a.m.
Interstate 80 west out of Cheyenne is closed due to poor weather.
About seven inches of snow fell in Laramie Friday night.

If you’re stuck in Ft collins is there any chance of road openings to make the 12 noon game?
Robert, great game for the Pokes. When was the last time we scored 30 and won three in a row> I was looking over your story a year or so ago for Joe to Go!
Thanks for the truth, it does matter that we play
“CowboyTough”. I live in Michigan and came out for the Texas game, although premature to advance us to the upper echelons of MWC football. We are advancing, and determined by the looks of things to get there… sweet.
I’ll be watching for more comments next week, I think we can get AFA- providing the same defensive effort next week.
inch by inch….go pokes.!
It doesn’t look real good for that right now.
The last time UW scored 30 or more points in three straight games was in 2002, but it went 1-2 in those games.
The last time the Cowboys did that and won all three was in 1999.
Thanks for the comment and checking out the blog.
