I think the Bowl Championship Series got the right 10 teams in its five bowls.
But the match-ups leave something to be desired. While the TCU-Boise State game figures to be a good one in the Fiesta Bowl, there is a lot of disappointment in these parts that neither one got a shot at one of the BCS’ automatic qualifying teams.
More on that later, but check out this column by the Washington Post on the BCS. Let me know what you think.

fienstein got it right in spades. fleicher is a hack. it is dinner thru the back door. they are afraid tcu or boise would beat whom ever. it was the perfect plan. what a bunch of slobs. how is it a bcs bowl with out a bcs team? why not call it the tostitos quarentine bowl? isnt that what they did? yes the match up is good but not in this setting….
RG,
I think this is just another sign that the BCS powers are afraid of us. Like the story mentioned, they were hoping Boise or TCU would loose in order to make the choices. By both teams going 12-0 this year it was only evident they were going to put them together… its a joke..
I hope I live to see the day when these young men can settle it on the field rather than be forced to watch the rich get richer.
I agree 100 percent, Jon. Good post.

The thing most people forget is that at the end of this 4 year period the MWC will most likely invite BSU to join. That means every big bowl game they win will be counted towards the MWC’s total. Don’t be surprised when you see BSU always locked up against a team from the MWC for the remainder of this period. By having Boise play against our conference it basically cancels their wins out and helps the ACC stay as an automatic qualifier and keep the MWC from getting in.
Cameron…thanks for that info. i didnt know that but now that i do it jusst makes it creepyer and creepyer.
