Most Memorable basketball moment: “I have two. The first is last year’s win over New Mexico at the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas. The atmosphere down there for that event is awesome, and that game was a lot of fun to play in. The second was the come-from-behind win over San Diego State (Jan. 9). We were down double-digits with five minutes to play, but we rallied, made some huge shots and the crowd was loud and crazy.”

Most embarrassing basketball moment: “Even though it made me kind of famous, I would have to say the flip.” Waddell did a flip after a dunk in UW’s College Basketball Invitational game against Northeastern last season that made national news and even landed him on the set of the Today Show in New York.

Something about myself not a lot of people know: a“I like to read a lot but not about school stuff. I like the Da Vinci Code and things like that. I read a lot of Stephen King books.”

If you weren’t playing basketball what would you be doing?: “Probably just being a regular college student. Maybe I would be playing another sport.”
