As of about 1 p.m., Wyoming’s wrestlers were 1-2 at the NCAA Championships. Sophomore Michael Martinez won his first match at 125 pounds, 6-2 over Aaron Kalil of Navy.

Senior Cory VomBaur lost 2-1 to Matthew Fisk of Lehigh and eighth-seeded Shane Onufer, also a sophomore, lost 14-4 to Tyler Grayson of Central Michigan.

    Interesting concept. I think that more closely tying scholarship numbers to GPA and graduate would make a great deal of sense. I would also like to see the standards tied more closely to the school-wide GPA and graduation rate. Some schools are designed for academic excellence and others are designed to provide access to higher education for specific communities.
