Hi DMC,

If Carta-Samuels goes down with an injury, UW is in trouble. But you can say that for just about any football team at any level when it loses its starting QB.

I will say, however, that senior Dax Crum had a pretty good spring and has shown some impressive improvemtent and maturity since the start of the 2008 season when he was the starter.

But Crum is not at the level of Carta-Samuels. Could Crum lead UW to wins? I feel a little better about that now than I did before the start of spring drills, but I'm not 100 percent sure he could. If he keeps improving over fall camp, maybe.

Crum is crafty and elusive, but he's not quite the player scrambling out of the pocket as ACS, especially throwing the ball and protecting it on the run.

Great question and I appreciate it. Have a great day.

How effective will the Cowboys offense be if Samuels goes down with an injury? Will his backup be as crafty and elusive as he?
