BYU, WAC certainly were talking

Interesting story by the Deseret News out of Salt Lake City on BYU’s possible move to being an independent in football and to the WAC in other sports.     I wish BYU would take their collective a—-s and just go away. I don’t care where, just away. Also do not even think of adding Utah State for any reason. Just my 1 cent opinion, cause thats all byu is worth to this Poke fan.

      Hi Mark,

      I think most UW/MWC fans feel the same way as you do. I also agree with you on Utah State. Sure, geopgraphically it may make some sense but other than that Utah State brings nothing to the MWC.

    Hey RG-
    I was getting the sense that Utah State will only be added if BYU leaves. What is going on with Houston? I surely hope we add Houston before Utah State!!! It would be very disappointing not to add Houston at this point. They are going to be a top 25 team this year! Our commish has to realize that will only help us in getting bcs legitimate and if BYU leaves it could help with that blow. Gonna miss the scrimage blog tonight. Is there anyway I could get the transcript from the blog tonight??? Thanks!!

      Hi Joe,

      You know, I get the impression that either Utah State or Houston might be added if BYU stays. If BYU stays then the league is at 11. A 12th makes more sense then, even if they don’t do a conference title game. But I do hear more talks with Utah State than with Houston. I agree that Houston adds more than Utah State. Don’t see what Utah State adds to the leauge other than another team. But if Utah State joins the WAC is done. Only five teams would be left and that could open up TV talks with ESPN or others. That’s the wildcard in this.
