I want to hate BYU and say “don’t let the door hit ya on the way out.” BUT, I also think that them leaving the conference hurt us. Bottom to middle, we may be a stronger conference with the addition of Fresno and Nevada. But we lost two power houses now and from the top down, we’re weaker. I don’t think I see the BCS in our near future.

I agree that losing BYU is a hit to the MWC — like them or not.

MWC is in survival mode right now, but it is in better shape than the WAC. The league will be OK. Better TV distribution would help. But with the everchanging landscape in college athletics, who knows what will happen. What will the BCS look like, or even exist in a few years?

      Crazy stuff.
