Former Wyoming running back and career rushing leader Devin Moore is in Laramie today to support former teammates Marcel Gipson and Chris Prosinski at the their pro timing day later this afternoon.
Moore is under contract with the Indianapolis Colts, and despite a recent shoulder injury (that didn’t require surgery) he is excited for the upcoming season as a return specialist. Moore said he isnt’ worried at this point about the probable player lockout by the owners. The deadline for that is tonight at midnight.
Moore ran for 2,963 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Cowboys from 2005-08.
Another former UW player, cornerback Derrick Martin, also is here today. He was recently cut by Super Bowl champ Green Bay. He didn’t play in the Super Bowl due to injury.
Martin was the first UW player in school history to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft. He was taken in the sixth round by the Baltimore Ravens in 2006.
I’ll have more from UW’s pro day later this afternoon.
