Border War key to the game

My No. 1 key for Wyoming in Saturday’s Border War:

No Nwoke: Wyoming must do everything it can not to let Colorado State sophomore running back Chris Nwoke have a big game. He has rushed for 200 yards or more in two of the last three games. If he gets rolling, it will open up more options for CSU’s offense, which means big trouble for the Cowboys.

Thoughts, opinions? I have four more keys for the Cowboys, and to see them check out Saturday’s Wyoming Tribune Eagle and Laramie Boomerang. Also check out the WTE as are doing something special on our sports front for the Border War. I think you’ll like it.

  1. Grayson is pretty mobile as well. Containing him while limiting the running game is gonna be big. Also, with all the troubles Thomas has had… I wonder if he won’t in fact be a surprise starter and play with a giant chip on his shoulder?

  2. Since we seem to have problems tackling (even against N Mexico), I hope they’ve addressed the issue at practice.

Gipson needs to spray stick ’em all over his body, because it seems like he should have 6 INT’s in the last month, yet can’t seem to hang onto the ball. The opportunities are there. He needs to come up big.

Ball control. We were on a roll in turnover margin for most of the season, but have stalled in that department as of late. Control the ball, and punch it out on the Defensive end.

And of course, score more points than the Sheep. 🙂
