UW football recruiting update – 2015 verbal commitments

Here is an updated list of verbal commitments for the 2015 University of Wyoming football recruiting class.

WR/DB Dameko Doddles, 6-2, 185, Douglass HS, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Three-star rating out of five, and the 15th-ranked recruit in the state by Rivals.com. Also had a scholarship offer from TCU.

DB/KR/WR Davion Freeman, 5-10, 160, Del City HS, Del City, Oklahoma. Two-star rating by Rivals.com and 247sports.com, including being ranked as the 30th best player in the state by 247sports.com. The Oklahoman newspaper had Freeman No. 14 in their Super 30 rankings prior to the season. Had scholarship offers by Arkansas State, New Mexico, New Mexico State and North Texas.

DT Youhanna Ghaifen, 6-3, 248, Grand Island Central Catholic HS, Grand Island, Nebraska. Two-star rating by Rivals.com.

OL Kaden Jackson, 6-2, 270, Kingfisher HS, Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Two-star rating by Rivals.com. Scholarship offers from New Mexico, UTEP, North Texas, Ohio and Sam Houston State.

WR C.J. Johnson, 6-2, 181, West HS, Bellevue, Nebraska. Three-star recruit, second-ranked recruit in Nebraska and 75th-best wide receiver recruit in the nation by Rivals.com. Six other scholarship offers, including Ohio and Western Michigan. Been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.42 seconds.

RB Kellen Overstreet, 5-11, 198, Penney HS, Hamilton, Missouri. Two-star recruit by Rivals.com. Ran for 3,327 yards and scored 53 touchdowns as a junior. Timed at 4.5 second in the 40-yard dash. Had scholarship offer from Air Force and four other FCS schools.

WR Joseph Parker, 5-11, 175, Cherry Creek HS, Greenwood Village, Colorado. Been timed at 4.37 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Had more than 500 all-purpose yards through three games as a senior. Had scholarship offers from Colorado State and Northern Colorado.

ATH Kevin Prosser, 6-2, 190, Gateway HS, Aurora, Colorado. Two-star recruit by Rivals.com. Played strong safety as a junior in high school. Timed at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

OL Zach Wallace, 6-7, 250, Lake Zurich HS, Lake Zurich, Illinois. Has played tight end in high school. Had scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.

LB Jaylon Watson, 6-1, 220, Broken Arrow HS, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Plays running back and defensive end in high school, but is projected as a linebacker in college. A two-star recruit by Rivals.com. Also offered by Army, but had interest from schools such as Florida State, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

ATH Andrew Wingard, 6-0, 175, Ralston Valley HS, Arvada, Colorado. Plays running back, defensive back and returns kickoffs and punts. Through eight games this season has 1,565 all-purpose yards. Has rushed for 1,014 yards and 16 touchdowns and caught 23 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns. Also has 45 tackles on defense. Was offered by North Dakota, and also looked at by Colorado and Washington.
