UW sports live chat replay

Here’s the replay of my weekly live chat on University of Wyoming sports on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Lots of UW football talk as the Cowboys are coming off an 8-6 season and 24-21 loss to BYU in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21. UW men’s basketball also was a hot topic of conversation as the Cowboys are off to an 11-3 start, including an 84-72 home win over Air Force Wednesday in the Mountain West opener for both teams.

  1. I wish Brian Hill the best. A senior year, with Donelle Pumphrey gone, would have done him wonders.

I also wonder if he split because of the rise of Josh Allen. Rushing yards will go down if one is in the backfield, blocking with the lineman.

    • I don’t think that was a reason for Hill to go. A big reason why Hill’s numbers were better this year was because of Allen and his ability to run and throw it. With UW’s top three receivers gone going into next season, Hill would have once again been a focal point in the offense.
      Just my opinion on that.
Appreciate the comment, and Happy New Year.
