Each coach has his own way about providing information. So it is just something Poke fans have to accept and so far have been more than willing to do so. It would be fun to know how much important information Coach Dave learns about his opponents through their media. Keep providing whatever news you have. We readers value your information. Ps I am impressed with how Coach Dave shuts down Player tweets. It truly is unbelieable.

I’ve been told by many national recruiting experts that this wasn’t a good recruiting year in Colorado depth wise. Thisbis where UW makes hay there. The top notch kids usually leave. But CU and CSU didn’t sign a lot from there, either. I know UW offered a lot of kids from there. Right now I’m not alarmed but I hope its not a trend. UW needs colorado as a recruiting base.

RG: Many thanks for the information you provide for Cowboy fans. Your work is appreciated! I would like to know your assessment of the following situation: Eight of the top ten recruits in Colorado signed with out-of-state schools. CU signed only 3 CO players. CSU signed only 4 in-state recruits. I was shocked to learn that WY, which has benefitted greatly from CO players in the past, signed no recruits from CO. I understand and support DC’s shift in recruiting emphasis away from Texas and into the Northwest, because the southern kids have trouble adjusting to Laramie. However, Colorado kids do fine in Laramie. Was this a “down” year for talent in CO, or is something else going on here?

I would put Washington up there with Moser, and I agree others have to step up and play for Wyoming.

But as far as other top-notch players in the MW: Thames and Tapley at San Diego State (although they are guards). Drew Gordon at New Mexico (good post player).

MW has some good players. Many tranfers from other schools.

Look Gigs I’m no expert. I’v watched all the teams play at least once in conference play and probally no question Moser is the best player in the conference but you can’t tell me that Washington isn’t the next best player.I mean come on look at all the talent Moser got around him. I mean look at that Thomas kid a transfer 4 or 5 star kid from Kansas he could start for any other team in the conference and plays maybe 8 to 10 minutes a game.The guy you have to watch is Belfield he makes more timely three’s then anybody on there team. Vegas is loaded no question but me need the rest of our players to play with the intensity that Washington plays with. Vegas will throw 4 or 5 guys at Washington to try and wear him out. The rest of these guys got to pick up there game. When Lukes off on his outside shooting I wish he would take a dribble drive take a 15 footer or take it to the rim once in a while.They can beat Vegas but there going to have to bring there A game.

Christensen said yesterday he didn’t know anything about it, but he also doesn’t say anything about injuries per his own policy.

Will keep checking to see, but as of now from what I’ve been able to gather that it’s not real serious.

I saw on a Twitter feed that Brett Smith had or is having an operation on his hand (and that this was why he was wearing a glove). Curious if you know what the operation was for and if it was successful? Thanks!!

In the olden days the blogger would clobber me for the following statement. While Waddell had a very good game and he certainly didn’t lose the game for the Pokes; nevertheless, he became one of the two go to guys. He had a couple of easy looks inside that didn’t drop which would have put additional pressure on the opponent. While we came close often, the game never felt like it was ours. Hope they sit Nance out aganist UNLV. We don’t need to aggravate the knees of big men. He can be a difference maker in the AFA, TCU & BSU home games. Those three games gets us to 20 and a very successsful YEAR We will need bench strength aganist those three teams.

Cruz kind of has a mid range game but teams have taken that away recently. It’s not a great mid range game but about the best UW has at this point.

I counted 7 missed points down the stretch that we should have gotten: 2 missed layups, 1 missed second free throw and 1 missed front-end of a 1-and-1 (which counts as two missed points).

I also notice that we really do not have anyone that plays the mid-range offensive game that Coach Shyatt got from Roberts and Sawyer during his first tenure in Laramie.

All told, this is one heck of a nice performance in a rebuilding year, but one should hope for a good performance from so many seniors.
